10:10AM - Courage - a Prayer

Courage - a Prayer

By Rachael Story

In this post 911 world, we face all kinds of fears. Gone are the days of freedom and happy times with friends in cafes and diners with no worries or fear that at any minute you might be attacked or blown off the face the Earth by some terrorist or mad man. No, it's been replaced by living in constant fear. Every time you see a strange object you immediately think it's bomb and cause panic only to find out that it was a misplaced cell phone or a publicity stunt gone bad.

Yeah, I know that it could have been bad, but we need some level of sanity back. Do we really need to freak the whole world out?

What we need today is to bring back a level of courage and strength of mind. To put aside our fears and somehow,  to try and live our lives, or the time we have left, in a peaceful existence.

Showing our enemies that we are in fear, only gives their case strength, and lets the rest of the world know that America, a once proud and strong nation, is now a weak and fearful nation, whose citizens are divided on principals. Some support our troops and others look down on them. No matter what our beliefs, we should stand behind our troops and America!

Whatever happened to 'All For One, And One For All '? It's no more.

I sometimes wonder what our Four Fathers, Washington, Franklin, Lincoln, ect. would do or say, to see America, the country they fight so hard to preserve and protect come to harm and be flushed with fear. To see the values and symbols that America once stood for, freedom, justice, liberty and GOD!!, all be taken away!

I just wish, no I PRAY, that soon, this war will be over. That soon, peace and stability will return to the States. That soon, the next generations will be able to walk down the street or travel anywhere in the World without fears. That is what I pray.

I will conclude this post with a prayer that my Mom and I made up. I believe every word, I hope you will too. It's about courage, and peace of ones mind...

Keep a clear mind, always remain calm and brave at all times. Be of good courage, and know that all things will come out right when your mind is unclouded of evil deeds. Amen!

11:46AM - An Angel You Were......An Angel You Are ~ a poem

An Angel You Were.....An Angel You Are

by Rachael Story

I wake in the night

Sweat running down my body

My heart beating like a drum

I climb out of bed, dash to the window

And breath in the Summer air

I stare at the Moon and see your

Face staring back at me

Your blue eyes piercing

My heart as if an arrow

Had just hit me with force

I close my eyes and silently cry

For my heart is aching so

You're not here, you're

Far away, so far my arms

Cannot reach

You have left me, no reason as

To why

To heaven you've gone, an Angel

You were, an Angel you are

Sickness no more, have you to bare

God has taken you, to live with Thee there
